A surveyor has flagged spray foam and the lender is holding the mortgage.
What we do: We prioritise lender jobs, survey within 48 hours and book the removal for the earliest slot. The foam comes out, the rafters are photographed and you get a written summary the same week. We have handled this for buyers across Gloucestershire.
→ The valuer re-inspects a clean, ventilated roof void and the mortgage proceeds. Most of these jobs clear on the first re-inspection.
02
Condensation is dripping from the roof deck onto boxes stored in the loft.
What we do: We assess whether the foam is blocking the eaves gap, take moisture readings across the rafters and extract the foam where it is the cause. The ventilation path is cleared and the vapour barrier checked before we leave.
→ Loft humidity drops within days and the winter dripping stops. Stored belongings stay dry without you needing to add extra ventilation.
03
You are renovating a period terrace in Tivoli or The Suffolks and want the loft back to bare timber.
What we do: We strip the foam with dry ice blasting, which lifts it without gouging old rafters, and separate the waste for recycling. The loft is left clean and ready for new insulation boards, timber battens and a breathable vapour barrier.
→ Your builder gets a clean, dry roof void to work with, and the new insulation performs properly because the old foam is not trapping moisture underneath it.
04
A commercial unit or warehouse has spray foam that is failing and needs phased removal.
What we do: We schedule the work around your operating hours, issue risk assessments and method statements in advance, and work section by section so part of the building stays usable. Waste is separated and documented for your compliance records.
→ The foam is removed without closing the site, and you hold the paperwork to show how the material was disposed of.
